Dog Training Classes Miami – Tip of the Day
(Part 1 of 2)
Dog Training is Like Skiing
In order to try out for the Olympic ski team I had to hone my skills while teaching and competing in regional tournaments. I taught the moguls and one thing I learned from teaching was how to get through a course in the quickest time possible. I learned to keep my knees pumping and upper body facing downhill (fall line) at all times.
Dog training is a journey for families just the same. Dog training and behavior modification may get difficult and frustrating at times but persistence, patience, consistency and practice pay off. The pet parent and dog trainer skill set is a substantial factor in dog training success but I am constantly amazed by how much tenacity, heart and shear willpower prevail.
If your dog training is zigzagging when you want to be linear, stay the course and be resolute. You will get to where you’re going faster and with more gratification and fulfillment. The journey of learning and dog training builds the bond between nature and other species and is a wonderful way to live in harmony with life.
Remember, keep those knees pumping and your head pointed in the right direction and stay the course. You’ll be glad you did.
