It is very early on and Tommy is still finishing up his medicine and de-stressing from shelter life, his neutering and amputation but as the only (CDBC) Certified Dog Behavior Consultant (CDBC) and Certified Professional Dog Trainer in Miami I have observed a wonderful family pet. He exhibits no behavioral problems. Of course there are no guarantees that some behavior quirks may arise, which is why it is so important to always receive dog training. Miami is a great place to experience the outdoors with your pet, however pet parents must be responsible and take proper precautions for overheating during peak sun/heat hours and especially when a dog has 3 legs. It is more strenuous for a dog with 3 legs to get around and they exert more energy. It is paramount whenever a person or family decides to adopt or buy a dog to understand basic dog body language to keep your pet safe and happy.
Tommy is a gem. He is house trained and has a wonderful disposition. With a medium energy level he will adjust to any family lifestyle as he gets used to his 3 leg set up and builds up appropriate muscles. He is not a vocal dog and has not barked once since he has been in my care. Today I will take him to remove his stiches and then he will be even more handsome than he already is. Hard to believe! More pictures are soon to follow. So what are you waiting for?! Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to add endless love, joy and incredible experiences to your life with a miracle named Tommy …
Fostering Dogs Saves Lives
Tommy Boy is not only a great movie but an incredible loving dog!! After Tom escaped his old home and injured his leg, his previous irresponsible pet parent “returned” him to the shelter to be euthanized. But Tom is an incredible survivor! His leg had to be amputated due to an infection, but today Tommy walks proudly on his 3 legs. In fact he walks and runs faster than most dogs with a full set of limbs! Tommy sure acts spunkier than a lot of pooches I know, so shhhhh don’t tell him about his leg. He sure doesn’t miss it! Tommy boy knows that the only disability in life is a bad attitude, and his happy-go-lucky attitude shines through. He loves the outdoors, people, dogs, being by your side, and long walks on the beach.
This sweet & spunky heartthrob is about 2 years old, 58 pounds, neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, rabies shot and microchip. He looks like a hound mix, but your guess is as good as mine. He’s a gorgeous boy that will make any family happy for years to come. He’s lying next to me now, wagging his tail 100 miles per hour. I’ll bet he’s dreaming of his forever home! As always adopt don’t shop so dogs like Tommy don’t die every day!
He’ll hop right in and steal your heart. Please only email me for inquires and get ready to have a best friend for as long as you live. Please make sure you know the very basics what to buy before bringing a dog into your home.
I will be updating Tommy’s status and his adventures and pictures frequently from my blog so bookmark and share it with anyone who is interested in gorgeous Tom and stay tuned.
Tommy boy, my 3 legged wonder foster dog has found a forever home! I want to thank everyone who shared his pictures and who have helped him find his forever home. There is never one person involved and it takes a community to save beautiful adoptable dogs and cats.
